What’s New On The Samsung Galaxy S23 Series?
Samsung opted for incremental upgrades for their 2023 flagships. While those hoping for more exciting changes may come off disappointed, the upgrades cover some of the core features of the phones that will give users a better day-to-day usage experience.
Samsung Galaxy S23
The smallest phone of the bunch gets a brand new chipset in the form of a custom Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, a tougher display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and a battery capacity bump that should provide some precious extra juice. While the camera lens remain the same, it does get a couple of new camera software features geared towards taking better shots of the night sky.

Samsung Galaxy S23+
If you desire the Galaxy S23 but in a bigger package, its larger sibling is the obvious choice. The two major advantages you get are the bigger display and battery (along with faster charging speed). Else, the Galaxy S23+ has all the same attributes as the smaller phone, such as the new chip, protective glass, battery bump, and night-focused camera features.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
As with the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the headline-grabbing features are reserved for Samsung’s top-of-the-line poster boy. If last year’s model gets the S Pen as its marquee feature, its successor is feted with a 200MP main camera lens with Adaptive Pixel. It uses pixel binning technology in the Samsung ISOCELL HP2 sensor to support multiple levels of high-resolution processing at once.
Another notable change—on top of all the new features also coming to the two non-Ultra phones—is the inclusion of a new 12MP selfie shooter. Also, the Malaysian market officially gets the 1TB variant in the Ultra line for the first time.
Apart from getting most of the new features, the Galaxy S23 Ultra has the smallest price increase in Malaysia.
