What’s Coming To The iPhone 16 Series?
The iPhone 15 series gave us a new titanium build, a new Action Button, and USB-C charging port, among others. So, what’s next on the upgrade list?
1. Even Larger Screens
If you think the current iPhones couldn’t get any larger, you might be delighted (or exasperated) to hear that more screen real estate is coming, for better or for worse Apparently, the new Pro models will grow in size again, with the screens increasing to 6.27-inch (iPhone 16 Pro) and 6.86-inch (iPhone 16 Pro Max). Yay or nay?
2. Polished Titanium
The brushed titanium finish on the iPhone 15 Pro phones won a lot of fans because not only is it a stronger material than stainless steel, but it also makes the devices significantly lighter while making them less prone to scratches and unsightly fingerprint smudges. However, it robs them of the ultra-premium shiny look given by stainless steel. Apple is said to have implemented a new finishing process that makes for a more polished titanium finish, bringing the eye-catching gloss back while retaining all the prior benefits.
3. New Camera Capture Button
The iPhone form factor might take on another minor spin again with the introduction of a new physical button. Allegedly located at the bottom right of the device, the button is all about giving tighter control over the camera action, allowing users to shoot, focus, zoom in and zoom out with tactile precision like a digital camera.
4. Action Button Trickles Down
As with the Dynamic Island making its way to the non-pro iPhone 15 a year after debuting on the higher-end models in 2023, we could be reading the same script for the Action Button this year. Better late than never.
5. Significant Camera Upgrades
Camera improvements in every new iPhone iteration are to be expected at this point. For the iPhone 16 series, rumours are pointing at not one but a few upgrades, namely an upgraded ultra-wide lens, reduced lens flare, and a new super telephoto camera for better optical zoom (only for iPhone 16 Pro Max), which will solidify iPhone’s position as the leading mobile shooter in the market.

No doubt iPhones have been getting costlier and costlier in the Malaysian market with each new iteration. The past few years have seen prices steadily increasing, which has not been helped by the economic downturn and world affairs. Hence, do not be surprised to see the iPhone 16 series price tag in Malaysia bearing a larger number than its predecessor.

iPhone 16 Series Release Date In Malaysia
While the exact date of the iPhone 16 series’ release in Malaysia is anybody’s guess for now, we can say with fair certainty that it will be launching on our shores in late September (or possibly early October), which is usually a short 2-3 weeks after the global announcement
