Last year, we saw the Poco X3 Pro, Poco F3, and Poco M3 Pro 5G being some of the bestselling budget-oriented smartphones to be released on our shores. In 2022, the independent brand which started life as a Xiaomi sub-brand is back with another two new devices that could be just as popular, if not more. We take a closer look at the new Poco X4 Pro 5G and the <\/span>Poco M4 Pro, including their price and availability in Malaysia<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Poco X4 Pro 5G succeeds the <\/span>Poco X3 Pro<\/span><\/a> nearly a year after the latter\u2019s release. Besides the welcome addition of 5G, the newer device also sports a vastly different back design with a huge rectangular camera bump replacing the circular outline. It looks and feels more premium too, as we say hi to glass and bye to plastic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both devices carry the same-sized displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, but the AMOLED screen on the Poco X4 Pro 5G will give you brighter images with better viewing angles and more vivid colours. Battery-saving is also one of its benefits as the individual pixels on an AMOLED display can be turned off when displaying the colour black. In contrast, all the pixels in an LCD screen are always-on.<\/span><\/p>\n

The primary camera on the newer <\/span>phone<\/span><\/a> is also given a massive upgrade. If you are an avid phototaker, the new 108MP sensor will be a top reason to upgrade to this phone. That said, it is not all good news as the front <\/span>selfie<\/span><\/a> camera has been downgraded from 20MP to 16MP.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another hardware difference worth noting is that while the Poco X4 Pro 5G includes a slightly smaller battery capacity, it benefits from a much higher charging speed. With 67W fast charging, the phone can go from 0% to 100% in just 40 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n
