OUR BAKING SODA
We want your baked goods to be perfect, so we source our high purity food-grade baking soda from a global leading Belgian chemical company. Use it to create fluffiness in your bread, muffins, cookies, pancakes & cakes. To fully activate, mix accordingly with acidic ingredients of your recipes such as lemon juice, brown sugar, cocoa powder, buttermilk, white vinegar, yogurt, or honey. For best result, bake immediately before the bubbles of CO2 gas dissipate.
USEFUL LIFEHACKS
1. Eliminate impurities, wax & pesticide residues on fruits & vegs
Soak in a solution of 1 tbsp of baking soda per litre of water for at least 10 mins.
2. Remove burned-on food from kitchenwares
Fill them with hot water and add 2 tbsp of baking soda. Allow to cool for at least 20 mins.
3. Clean food residues & grease on kitchen hobs, sinks & refrigerator
Mix a paste from 3 parts of baking soda per 1 part of water and rub.
4. Unclog sink
Pour a pot of boiling water down the drain. Then pour 1 cup of baking soda plus 1 cup of vinegar. Allow bubbling reaction for 10 mins and pour boiling water down the drain again.
5. Tenderise meat
Add 1/2 tbsp of baking soda per litre of water when the water starts boiling.
6. Deodorize refrigerator
Keep an open jar of baking soda in the fridge. Dump it after a month (or reuse it to clean sink, toilet bowl).
7. Put out a grease fire
Do not try to extinguish a grease fire with water. Throw plenty of baking soda to smother the fire (only if it's small & manageable).
8. Keep ants away
Combine equal parts of baking soda & powdered sugar (bait) in a shallow open container. Place it near the line of ants.
