Gamification in Education: Game-Based Learning Training Module The Gamification in Education: Game-Based Learning Training Module is a product grounded on research (PRGS). The Module was developed by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Tan Wee Hoe and Assoc. Prof. -Ing Ts. Dr. Maizatul Hayati Mohamad Yatim. It demonstrates how gamification can be practiced through a physical multiplayer role-playing game (PMRPG). This game features Utopian Pedagogic School of Innovation or UPSI, which shares the same acronym with Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. Upon the completion of this training, trainees should be able to design and develop a gamified lesson in a variety of learning contexts. In particular, trainees are guided to explore the savoir faire to distinguish key concepts associated to games, gamification, serious games and game-based learning. Then trainees will be facilitated to design gameplay, learning feedback and game space for a lesson. After that, trainees will be guided to develop game story ideas for presenting learning contents.
