Hyperglides are new tooling used by Cherry for their MX line of switches, which promises less wobble and higher lifespan of the switch, from 50 million actuations to 100 million actuations. Even with the rise of the number of switches available in the hobby today, Cherry switches remain one of the favourites of enthusiasts due to the 'full' nature of the top-out sound that the nylon housing produces. As such, they are usually used in frankenswithces such as Black Cherry Pies (BCPs) or Cherry-topped Zykos. Even using them as they are, MX Blacks have a very unique poppy sound signature that many enthusiasts including us like. We would recommend lubing them, as with all Cherry switches they aren't the smoothest around. Popular choices for lube include 205g0, or our personal favourite for these, GHV4 thick.
