Description

*Colourland Big Tree High Gloss is a general purpose solvent based enamel gloss paint.

*Suitable for use on all types of wood and metal surfaces.

*For decoration and protection of all types of interior and exterior wood and metal surfaces.

COMPOSITION:

Pigment: Lightfast Non - Lead Pigments.

Binder: Modified Hydrocarbon Resin.

Volume Solids: White 54% (Nominal), other colours will vary.

Thinner / Cleaner: White Spirit.

PROPERTIES:

Texture: High Gloss Smooth Finish.

Colour: A wide range of colours. Please refer Colourland High Gloss # 2000 Colour Card.

Theoretical Coverage: 15 – 17 m2/Litre.

Drying Time: Touch Dry 1 hours. Hard Dry 4 hours.

Recoating Interval: 3 – 4 hours.

APPLICATION METHOD:

Brush: For normal use thinning is not usually necessary. If required add up to 10% by volume with Colourland 1000 thinner.

Roller: For normal use thinning is not usually necessary. If required add up to 10% by volume with Colourland 1000 thinner.

Conventional Air Spray: Thin with 10% - 20 % by volume with Colourland 1000 thinner and adjust to requirement.

Airless Spray: Ready for use. Thinning is not usually necessary

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Wood :Wood must be dry and free from grease, dirt and other contaminants, smoothen surface with suitable grade sand paper and dust off before application of undercoat and paints.

Metal: Surface must be dry and free from grease, dirt and other contaminants. Steel surfaces should be sanded or wire-brushed to remove mill scales and rust. For best result steel surfaces should be prepared by hand or power tool to BS 7079 Part 1: 1989 S T 3 standard. Galvanised and Aluminium surfaces should be cleaned and degreased, apply an appropriate Etch Primer to ensure good adhesion.

Previously Painted: Remove all loose, defective and unstable paint film. Rusted and defective areas should be sanded and feather edged and spot primed with Colourland Zinc Chromate Primer before applying subsequent coatings.
