This book introduces 40 single Chinese characters and 70 vocabulary including phrases. Pronunciation in Pinyin and meaning are included for a more thorough understanding. The drilling practice exercise is adopted as it has been recognised to be helpful to memorise the Chinese characters learned. Students will be given various exercises to strengthen their mastery of the Chinese characters they have learned. The book also includes Chinese characters from the Introductory Mandarin textbook series, with a total of 120 single Chinese characters and 213 vocabulary (including phrases). Therefore, with today's advanced technology, it is hoped that students can also use Chinese characters to communicate through gadgets and social media.
