While the battery of the current HAC-001 Switch model lasts for approximately 2.5 to 6.5 hours in portable mode, the new model’s battery can last up to 9 hours on a single charge. Nintendo writes that battery in the ‘New’ Switch model will last approximately 5.5 hours for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – the old model’s battery will only last roughly 3 hours while playing Breath of the Wild in portable mode, an increase in battery life of approximately 83%.
